@ 7 years, 6 months: Bailey on an afternoon outing

So...for the last 3(!) years, Bailey kinda sorta got extremely marginalized by two additions to the family. The photos of Bailey didn't stop, but they definitely slowed way down, and the blogging...it did not happen so much.
I'll back-date some entries later on, but for now, here's a rare outing with just Bailey, me, a ham sandwich, and maybe some nibbles of ham for a good boy (and he was a really great boy on this walk, even though he hasn't gotten as many walks as he should):

Our house is getting remodeled so we're staying with friends while the work gets completed. Bailey ended up with two beds in one place. This is what he created:

We finally took Bailey on a walk on the Stephens Creek Trail, and got breakfast at the other end:

Meet Gizmo

Gizmo is a new fellow office dog. He is a Shih Tzu puppy who loves to wrestle (and sometimes hump) Bailey...who unfortunately tires of Gizmo's tiny size/humping after a couple hours. Bailey is not the best playmate for energetic small dogs.

Tilly-sitting gifts!

Our friends returned from their around-the-world trip, and picked up their beloved Tilly. In exchange, they came bearing flowers, and an extremely thoughtful gift of a choice of a little weekend getaway (illustrated with three charming watercolor drawings). They even illustrated which of of the two options is Bailey-friendly. We've opted for the tent cabin in Big Sur Redwoods, sometime in the spring. Can't wait.

We decided to take the two buddies to a dog park this weekend. They thoroughly enjoyed their two correspondingly favorite activities: fetch, and wrestling with puppies.

Tilly finally gets in some un-interrupted fetch (unfortunately, fetch with Tilly in the house consists of Bailey suddenly taking an interest in fetching, muscling in, and taking over all the action):
